Hi friend, thank you for stopping by. My name is Kaytee (she/her). I’m a creative, kind and energetic personality. I’ve been teaching yoga in Austin for nine years and have called this amazing city home for a decade. I have always been called to help others through creative expression, authentic connection and movement. I do this through my work as a Yoga Therapist, Yoga Teacher and Director of Clinical Acquisitions at My Vinyasa Practice.
My personal journey as a yoga student began while I was attending university in London as a way to manage stress. I was initially drawn to the physical asana which cultivated a sense of strength and personal power within my body. I learned to use yoga as a tool to release anger, digest grief, accept love, change outmoded patterns and behaviors, uncover my authentic self and physically challenged my body beyond my personal limits. Because of this I decided to become a teacher and share this healing practice with others.
In 2015 I completed my RYT 200 training through CorePower Yoga in Austin. After completing my initial certificate I accepted a teaching position at CorePower studios. It wasn’t long until I decided to leave my nine to five to pursue teaching full time. Over the next two years I amassed over 1,000 hours of teaching yoga classes, through corporate clients, private instruction and group classes at studios around Austin. During this time I led a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training through CorePower and began mentoring new teachers.
These experiences allowed me to see the therapeutic application of yoga through personalized, one-on-one interactions. So in 2017, I decided to take the next step and pursue a career in Yoga Therapy. Since then, I’ve completed my RYT 500, Children’s Yoga Teacher Training, and Yoga Therapy Certification ( C-IAYT) through Yoga Yoga.
Today I use these skills to help others discover their personal power and inner healer. I teach public yoga classes and I offer mentoring, yoga therapy and children’s yoga therapy. I feel like it is part of my purpose and it brings me joy to share this practice with others.
